The organic world celebrates its records - at BioFach 2008

Like an inexhaustible spring, BioFach bubbles over with new products, trends and ideas from all over the world every year. 2,045 exhibitors and 33,000 trade visitors (plus 12 %!) from 104 nations met to make contacts and business connections at BioFach in 2006.
All the superlatives the industry has to offer can be found at its leading international exhibition: the most extensive range of organic food, the biggest organic wine exhibition in the world, the most important exhibition for natural personal care, exciting special shows and tempting catering areas.
The constantly expanding display areas reflect the success of organic products: Organic Monitor estimates that worldwide organic sales in 2004 grew by around 6 % to approx. 26 billion US dollars. Europe with about 10 billion EUR sales has overtaken the USA as largest single market, and the potential of the new EU countries, for example, is nowhere near exhausted.
The most important ingredient of the successful exhibition is the high quality of the organic products on display. BioFach and its patron IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) apply strict admission criteria to ensure that this remains so in the future.
